About Jean Kirkpatrick
After 25 years selling real estate, I will be focusing on listing homes. This has been my primary work for quite a few years, and I’m effective in determining where the house should be priced in the market. My two years working with a national real estate coach several years ago drilled the concept into me that a well-priced home sells faster and for more money than one unrealistically priced. I will be honest and upfront about the best way to get your home ready for sale, and a realistic price. I am excellent at preparing a home to sell and have the data to prove that I’ve sold homes for at least 97% of the asking price since 2017. Yes, the last two years have been easier for sellers but buyers aren’t naive about overpaying for a home that’s not a good investment; I have that data too. I’ve been told that I’m an honest, direct and clear communicator, and can add fun to the process. Problems come up involving deeds, inspections, finances, roofs, foundations, boundaries, mold, septic systems, wells, and radon air/water (prevalent in our Maine granite) to name some. It can be overwhelming for a seller to be confronted with addressing any of these - I have resources that are quick to respond and help resolve problems to keep a contract together. One recent client wrote the following which appears on the Zillow site: “She priced the house right, marketed it so people looking for the rustic lake camp experience were attracted, and we were under contract in a few weeks. Her negotiating support, like all her advice and encouragement, was outstanding. AND- Jean is kind, funny and wise company on top of being a whiz at her profession. We feel lucky and blessed that she was available when we chose her to represent us”. Living in central Maine is great! We're surrounded by lakes and ponds that offer beauty and year-round recreational opportunities. We are an hour from several prime coastal towns, Portland, and both Sunday River and Sugarloaf ski resorts, which also offer great hiking. The central Maine towns blend together for community activities including sports, the arts, music, and entertainment. The people in our area enrich my life because they really are the type of person you imagine when you think of Central Maine - hard working, honest people who enjoy their families and neighbors, and support their communities. It's great to do business here. Personal ethics and sincerity are the core of the business model and it demonstrates that people rely on each other to get the job done. I rely on many people in my work who are experts in their field. It is a "way of life" here. I have lived in this area since 1985 and have been selling real estate since 1997, and can offer information about communities and activities. I have also worked for several of the larger employers in our area as well as out of town. Having grown up in Chicago and New Jersey, I appreciate central Maine for its offerings and proximity to busier towns when one needs a change of pace. I hope you'll take a look at my website to read my perspective on real estate. But don't believe me, here's what a recent client wrote: "Jean sold our house. When we interviewed five top-shelf realtors, Jean convinced us that she, best among them, would bring us a buyer and a respectful offer. She suggested creative update ideas, helped us formulate an appropriate asking price, and communicated well throughout the listing process. I saw our house featured in flyers, newspaper ads, and websites and I heard some of the ‘buzz' that she created amongst other realtors and house hunters. We and Jean shared a few important ideologies too. Most importantly she represented us and only us. She is a seller's agent – period! As well, though she is quietly and intensely competitive, she treats her fellow realtors and buyers well and so we benefited from the clean ethical and professional lines that she abides by. Jean will sell your house too." Harold B.
